Jim Nelles joined Medvec & Associates three years ago. In his capacity as a senior principal, he has supported many clients, including those in manufacturing and tech, with his particular expertise in strategic sourcing, customer and supplier negotiations and operational improvements.

Prior to joining Medvec & Associates, Jim worked at McKinsey & Co. serving clients across a variety of industries, focusing on improving strategic sourcing and supply chain capabilities. Jim has served as a chief procurement officer, chief supply chain officer and chief operations officer for a number of organizations and was an operating partner at a private equity firm.  

Jim received his BA in economics and French from Northwestern University and his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Jim has also served in both the U.S. and French Navy.
